Within Parkside’s fields, our cherries are given open access to a wide range of experiences, seasoned professionals, acres of resources, and other eager students - creating an ideal ecosystem.
By building strong and regular bridges with established professionals, our hungry cherries are raised on a constant diet of deliciously and excitingly diverse industry tastes and insights.
Perfectly preserved, each of our alumni cherries has a carefully composed and well-rounded taste, all thanks to the upmost desire for the upmost quality. Supporting each other, our alumni grow from strength to strength.
The Ian Awards
The annual Visual Communication Awards are now in their 6th year. From the Trevors (2009), the Brians (2010), the Daves (2011), the TA2s (2012) and the Vaughans (2013), we are proud to announce this years Ian Awards. A prestigious award ceremony for the juiciest and most desirable cherry flavours from our 2014 harvest.
Each year, the best of our best cherries are put forward to be judged by our industry partners. This year we are joined by our key note sponsor, Ian Emes, Birmingham born animator, advertiser, artist and film director.
With his keen creative eye, Ian will be sampling our students varied selection of ripe work from across all the fields of the School of Visual Communication. The freshest and most delicious Cherries will be presented with the Ians student of the year award.
